Affiliate Disclosure

This page explains how Diyadvisorcenter earns revenue and what that means for you.

The Short Version

Some links on this Site are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase from the destination retailer, we may earn a commission. This costs you nothing extra — the retailer pays us a small portion of the sale as a referral fee.

Programs We Participate In

We participate in various affiliate marketing and ad networks. These may include (but are not limited to) the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program — an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com — along with other retailer programs, comparison-shopping networks, and ad-tech partners. We may also earn revenue through Google Ad Manager and other display-ad providers that serve ads on this Site.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence what we cover or how we rate products. Our reviews are based on:

• Publicly available specifications and documentation.
• Hands-on testing where feasible.
• Aggregated user feedback and expert commentary.
• Comparison against direct competitors in the same category.

If a product is mediocre, we say so — even if it would pay us a higher commission than a better alternative.

How to Spot an Affiliate Link

Affiliate links typically lead to a retailer (Amazon, a brand's own store, or a third-party marketplace). Clicking one will take you to the retailer's site, where you complete the purchase directly with them. We never see your payment information.

FTC Compliance

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 guidelines, we disclose that we receive compensation for many of the links on this Site. This disclosure applies to every page and every affiliate link.
